WHY DO I NEED A TASTER SESSION?
The success of your counselling journey with me will be down to the rapport and relationship you build with me. I'm also aware that you may not have experienced counselling before and that it might seem like a mysterious thing that takes place in whispers behind closed doors. Your Taster session will enable you to work out if I'm the right counsellor for you.
HOW MUCH IS A TASTER & HOW DO I PAY?
Taster sessions last 60 minutes and are offered at a special 'try before you buy' fee of £30. Payment is via bank transfer in advance of the session. If you'd prefer to pay by cash on the day, this needs to be agreed beforehand.
IF I ATTEND THE TASTER, DO I HAVE TO CONTINUE WORKING WITH YOU?
There is no obligation to sign up to follow up sessions at the end of the Taster; instead, I will send you a follow up email containing an offer of a time slot, pricing options and a 'homework' task designed to help you make a start towards your goals. You will have 24hrs to accept the time slot before it is offered to someone else.
JEANS , SUIT OR ONESIE?
The Taster is an informal meet and greet and information gathering session. Come as you are and wear what feels comfortable.
WHERE DO SESSIONS TAKE PLACE?
Sessions take place in one of two locations: in Woodlands, Fleet or at Fleet Osteopathic Clinic. The former involves cats. The latter has stairs and is not appropriate for those with mobility issues. Both locations have access to a toilet and parking.
WHAT WILL HAPPEN DURING THE SESSION?
You'll talk and I'll listen to you in a way you've probably never been listened to before. We'll talk a bit about your history, why you are seeking therapy now, what you have been experiencing and what sort of impact that's had on your life. Finally, we'll discuss what your goals might be for working with me.
WILL THERE BE TEA?
In the beforetimes before Covid I'd have made you a brew, but it's now against the rules. However, please do bring along your own flask of tea, coffee or water to sip during the session. My full Covid policy is provided in my Booking Confirmation email.
